Second Harvest Food Bank

Come spend some time with your friends and help supply much needed food to organizations throughout the Charlotte region. Second Harvest Food Bank operates to redistribute bulk food items donated by local grocery stores and others to smaller food pantries in the area, and they are looking for people who can spend a few hours sorting bulk food items and filling backpacks. You'll be helping to make sure that food pantries can stay stocked throughout the summer, and serve those who might otherwise go hungry. Please bring close toed shoes as you'll be working around equipment, so no flip flops or sandles please. Anyone thirteen and over can participate, and all you need is a willing heart and the time available to help others. Let's make an impact in our community.
