Community Gardening at the Food Bank of CENC
Calling all green thumbs! Join us at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina's Community Garden. Volunteers will provide assistance in gardening tasks including weeding, mulching, pruning, composting, and sprucing up. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC's mission is that no one goes hungry in Central and Eastern North Carolina by increasing food access, building solutions to end hunger, strengthening the community's ability to serve, raising awareness, and engaging the community. Please wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - it's gardening after all! This event is for ages 8 and up. Volunteers will want to park at the volunteer center entrance, facing Crabtree Blvd. Please contact the host at the email provided with any questions. Due to current concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we're encouraging anyone who feels sick, is elderly, or has a compromised immune system to please put their health first and stay home. Current state safety guidelines will be followed. Your safety and the safety of our Outreach partners is our top priority.
