SHC McCreesh: Earth Day 'Gardening & Grounds-Keeping'

Join us as we celebrate Earth Day with the residents of Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) at McCreesh Place (located in Noda). SHC is a leader in Charlotte for ending homelessness. They provide permanent supportive housing to homeless people with disabilities and pride themselves on a 97% success rate of keeping residents in stable housing. This event will start with a brief tour of SHC to learn about the organization and meet the residents we will be serving. We'll be planting vegetables, flowers, small shrubs, and will be doing some light landscaping. We will even be celebrating the day with a cookout for the residents and volunteers after we landscape! This is a family friendly event for kids age 10+. Bring your friends and family to this landscape refresh event as we help provide 'a better place to live' to those residing at SHC.
