Food box packing for needy seniors

One in eight people in Southwest Virginia are at risk of going hungry. At this event you will be working on an assembly line, packing non-perishable food items into boxes that will be distributed to low-income seniors in our community. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, have the ability to stand for short periods of time, and lift light loads. Orientation and training is provided at the beginning of your shift. Please wear closed toe shoes. Snacks will be provided. You are encouraged to wear your favorite Elevation shirt. Volunteer parking is located behind the warehouse and can be accessed from Boulevard or Electric Road. To access the building, use volunteer entrance located at back of warehouse.
