Clubhouse Amigos Snack Pack Event

We will be packing snack packs for the Huntersville Elementary school/Dos Amigos Program. Our clubhouse kids will join in on the fun of serving. Amigos started in 2001 when 2 members of Meadowlake Presbyterian Church working in a free clinic noticed children doing their homework, needing help, and the parents were unable to help them. The program has been housed in a variety of locations throughout Huntersville with several different partner churches and organizations. The program includes anywhere from 20-70 children each year from the Hispanic community. The purpose has been to help bi-lingual children improve their English speaking skills and to help them succeed in school so that they are not at a disadvantage as they progress through the upper grades.
