Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Processing
Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on project that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes packed by Canadians. It is one way to remind children suffering as a result of war, poverty, famine, disease, and disaster that they are loved and not forgotten. At the Operation Christmas Child processing centre, you will work to inspect gift-filled shoeboxes and ensure that the contents are appropriate for children and meet customs regulations. Gift-filled shoeboxes are also prepared for shipping and loaded into sea containers to begin their long journey to children-in-need around the world. Be prepared with closed-toe shoes appropriate for standing for long periods, and warm, layered, casual clothes as the temperature inside can vary. Breaks are available as needed. Volunteers must be age 14 or older. Parking is available onsite. Please contact the host at the email provided with any questions.
