Second Saturday On Campus Snack Packing and Baby Bottle Fundraiser Prep

By Sign Up only... Join in the fun after the Saturday PM Worship Experience in the Orange Room next to the Lobby. We will be packing snack packs for a new Outreach partner through the Huntersville Elementary school/Dos Amigos Program. Amigos started in 2001 when 2 members of Meadowlake Presbyterian Church working in a free clinic noticed children doing their homework, needing help, and the parents unable to help them. It has been housed in a variety of locations throughout Huntersville with several different partner churches and organizations. The program may include anywhere from 20-70 children registered each year from the Hispanic community. The purpose has been to help bi-lingual children improve their English speaking skills and to help them succeed in school so that they are not at a disadvantage as they progress through the upper grades. We will also be preparing 800 baby bottles for the Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman annual baby bottle fundraiser drive. This is a family friendly event.
