Harvest Produce at the Food Bank Garden

Help the Food Bank Garden pick the last of this year's harvest and prepare the garden for Winter! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. All ages are welcome. The organization will provide gloves and tools for the projects planned, such as harvesting cabbage and collards, planting radishes and picking the final watermelons. **Keep in mind that the Children’s Home has its own garden which is separate from The Second Harvest Food Bank garden. Follow the signs for the Food Bank Garden: Farm area behind the barns of the Children's Home at 1001 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, NC. Entrance across the street from Krankies on Reynolda Road.It's about 100 yards from the main entrance at 1001 Reynolda Raod. Has a big sign for the farm area of The Children's Home. Follow gravel road to the fork and turn left. Head toward the big barn and turn to left to drive around it. Continue to the Food Bank Garden sign. Parking to the left.
