Freedom School D.E.A.R Reading Buddies at Montclaire Elementary

Become a Freedom School reading buddy at Montclaire Elementary during this City Wide One Great Day of D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read). Freedom School Partners needs one buddy for every scholar to spend an hour sharing books and enjoying time with a scholar. It is a wonderful opportunity to share your love of reading. This specific D.E.A.R event opportunity is offered at Montclaire Elementary; there are other Charlotte locations available as well. Age restriction: Adults and high school students - 10th grade or older, please. Parking/Event Info: Meet at Montclaire's Freedom School office at Trailer # 853 (see signs posted throughout the building). If traveling from Tyvola Road, turn left into the first parking lot and then walk to the trailers at the right side of the school. All Freedom School classes are in the portables. Prior to the event date, the event host will send you links to register for Freedom School's VolunteerHub portal and Child Protection Policy agreement; these need to be in place prior to volunteering.
