MLK Middle School - WOW! Event

For 10 weeks, volunteers from the community come in to the schools to teach middle school students real-life, hands-on lessons called apprenticeships. We partner with organizations such as Microsoft to teach how to build a computer, NASCAR to teach 3D printing and Bank of America to teach branding and computer coding. At the end of the 10 weeks, the students are now "experts" in these areas and they are eager to "teach back" to the community all they have learned. We are looking for volunteers to help serve a meal to the students and their families at the end of this celebration as well as clean up once the event is over.
